The Dizzy Sheep Daily Dizzy Deal
What is this dizzy deal thing?
Team Alpacaraca

Oh. Em. Gee.

Why didn't anyone tell me there is a team Alpacaraca??  It's a Raverly discussion group dedicated to the Tour de Fleece, which is a fun spinning event.

I can't believe it's been going on and no one said anything to me about it!

Ooo! Can I be president?? Secretary? Head Chef at least?

Hmm, I guess this means I need to join the fun and try spinning something myself.

Oh, and no, this is not some play on words that means a spinoff is about to happen. I would like to make it abundantly clear that I am referring to spinning fiber. You know, with a wheel, weighted spinny thing or umm, there's probably some other method too.

Details:

Spinners Hill Roving (4 ounce increments)

Dizzy Sheep proudly offers beautiful hand dyed Corriedale-Finn Ramboullet cross sheep roving in 4 ounce increments from Spinners Hill in Bainbridge, NY where the amazingly talented Lisa Ann Merion raises her flock, sheers them, and expertly prepares and hand dyes the fiber in exquisite colors.  This fiber is wonderful to spin and produces a beautiful, soft, highly wearable yarn suitable for just about any garment. It is also perfect for needle felting or wet felting.

NOTE:  You will receive 4 ounces for each quantity ordered.  (Quantity of 1 will get you 4 ounces, Quantity of 2 will get you 8 ounces ... you get the idea).

Thanks Dizzy & Gang. I'm running low on my Spinners Hill after two straight weeks of daily spinning, and I use a lot of the more colorful stuff in tiny increments when demonstrating drop spindling and "cranky spinning" with kids at local fairs.

LOVE this stuff. What I've spun this month is going into a colorful sweater for me.

Nameless, I thought of you as our "patron" - we're competing in your honor, and our victory is to your credit. :)

Meanwhile, I'm considering whether I'm brave enough to try to spin for a sweater - so much of this fiber today is in colors that would look good on me.
