Welcome back for the continuing story of Four Sisters and Their Magic Yarn Shop – Part 3. Here’s the link to Part 2 and to Part 1. Let's continue ... Just inside the door, the haggard old witch of a knitter was casting a dropped stitches spell throughout the shop. With a flash of inspiration, Larissa remembered Nadia’s magical box and against all logical reasoning, picked up the sheep figure. She raised it in her right hand and pointing at the witch with her outstretched left index finger, Larissa quickly commanded, “Be gone you purveyor of dropped stitches.” And then … … simultaneously Krista, in a flash of desperation, tossed a glass of water at the Witch – hey, it worked in the Wizard of Oz. Suddenly the Witch started to melt! We will never know if the sheep was magical or it was the water. “You cursed brats! Look what you've done! I'm melting! melting! Oh, what a world! What a world! Who would have thought good little knitters like you could destroy my beautiful knitting wickedness? Oooooh, look out! I'm going! Oooooh! Ooooooh!” Everyone could only stare at the resulting puddle. Larissa finally broke the silence, “Who’s going to clean up this mess?” No sooner had she said the words, then poof! Out of the smoke rising from the puddle stood a tall, dark, handsome knitter with a set of wonderful Addi Turbo needles and a skein of luscious Dream in Color Smooshy. Sounds of swooning filled the shop and no one could concentrate on anything else for he was surely the most handsome knitter in all the land! “Thank you!” he exclaimed, “You have released me from a terrible spell!” “I am the Prince of Knitting, son of Kafe, brother of Jared and Russell.” Without wasting a moment, he went from knitter to knitter restoring all the dropped stitches – for he was truly a master knitter that never dropped stitches, made no mistakes, had the most even tension, always at gauge, never running out of yarn, never losing a tiny DPN – an inspiration to all! Well, it had been a most interesting opening day so far. What else could happen? That question was quickly answered. The UPS delivery man stumbled through the door; disheveled and out of breath he announced, “Your shipment of the fabulous new Berroco Borealis yarn has been stolen!” There was a moment of silence while this news sank in. Finally Veronica asked “Pray tell sir, by whom were thou waylaid?” - the Prince apparently also influenced speaking style. The delivery man was a bit puzzled by the form of the question, but finally understood. He replied … - - - Who stole the yarn? You decide!
