Sorry for this interruption in the story of Four Sisters and Their Magic Yarn Shop. For those that might have missed them, here are the links to Part 4, Part 3, Part 2 and Part 1. I did hear a noise in the woods. And being rather dark out here, even with this campfire, I was getting a little nervous. I thought it might be Fred – need I say more – he is always the prankster, but then I realized that he’s miles from here on vacation. Then I had a flash thought that it might have been a Yeti. As a child I was told this scary story about a sock knitting Yeti - they are very good sock knitters seeing that they live in the Himalayan region. It's interesting when you are in the darkness and quiet of the woods how one’s mind wanders to strange thoughts. I even had images of Voldermort in my head. Rumor has it that his magic wand is actually a knitting needle and that his evilness is because he can never get his tension correct. Anyway, after a quick look about, I think we are safe. I’m glad that I’m not telling you the story about The Claw – I might be tempted to hop back to town just about now! Perhaps this is a good time to cook up a few s'mores? Did you know that the earliest known recipe is thought to be in the Girl Scouts handbook of 1927? Searching the web will turn up many hits on how to make these delicious campfire treats – even many audio/visual tutorials in case you need one. You can even buy complete kits with sticks and indoor “campfires”! However, I'm somewhat old-fashion - my recipe and process are pretty standard:
Personally I like to roast the marshmallows by turning them slowly near the hot coals until they are golden brown all over. Then I make a nice gooey sandwich of crackers, marshmallow and chocolate. Yum! Of course cleaning my fur afterwards is interesting, but it's all worth it! I wish that I could share some with you:
Now let’s get back to our story. So everything was going great for the four sisters, Krista, Larissa, Sabrina and Veronica on opening day. Except now there was a banging at the front door – which was strange because the door was opened. It was the landlord! Without wasting a moment he twisted his long mustache and yelled: … - - - What did the landlord yell? You decide! Post a Comment to the Blaaag or use the Contact form - what do you think he yelled:
And the story will continue … Details:
