The continuing tale of Four Sisters and Their Magic Yarn Shop – Part 7. Here are the links to Part 6, Part 5, Part 4, Part 3, Part 2 and Part 1. I bet you did not realize that opening a shop could be this much fun! Krista, Larissa, Sabrina and Veronica were standing outside the shop, staring at this huge …
It was not like any twister that anyone had seen before. It appeared that Paivatar, the Goddess of Spinning, was visible in the clouds and it was her spinning that created this mammoth vortex. But then out of the swirling debris of the funnel cloud came …
Yes indeed, the twister had picked up Godzilla from Japan and the violent winds transformed its normally reptilian hide to Mush ox fur before dropping the beast near the shop. From inside Dominique shouted out – I want that exotic fiber to spin! It will be warmer than sheep's wool and finer than cashmere! In the midst of all the confusion, Sabrina asked, “Is that snow I see?” Ignoring her, Krista pointed and said, “Look, down the road – not twister, nor Godzilla, nor even snow. It’s just a MASSIVE wall of water heading for us!” Indeed the combination of a twister and Godzilla was too much for the dam – it had burst! Larissa noted, “This can’t be good, unless everyone is planning on felting today.” Before the sisters could enter the safety of the shop they were swept down the road and dumped into the surging creek, which carried them into the raging stream, which eventually dumped them into the torrential river. Before they ended up in the sea, the river slowed and became peaceful enough so that they were able to work themselves over to the bank. Half drowned, coughing and sputtering they managed to drag themselves from the water. The sisters found that they had landed on the outskirts of a town. Strange, but wonderful folk gathered around. Veronica asked, “Who are you?” One of the locals stepped forward and explained that they were a gathering of passionate knitters who had fallen into the spell of this stability challenged sheep. “We have no witch and we have no wizard, only this silly sheep. Perhaps you should see our moderator – Quiana.” Quiana welcomed the sisters, “I’m glad I was here and you did not have to travel down this yellow brick road, for that journey would have held many adventures.” – hmmmm, perhaps another story for another time? The sisters said to Quiana, you have a nice group here, but what are we to do? How will we get back to our shop? Quiana told them, “Close your eyes and tap your knitting needles together three times. And think to yourself, there's no place like our shop.” The four sisters who never traveled without yarn and needles clicked their needles and repeated “There's no place like our shop, there’s no place like our shop, …” And slowly everything started swirling, round and round … The next thing that Krista heard was this obnoxious sound. - - - What did she hear? I know! But do you? Feel free to take a guess and see if you are correct. Post a Comment to the Blaaag or use the Contact form. And the story continues … Details:

I'm sure Fred would be objecting if he didn't make it into this story. Maybe the sisters heard an ogre, or a gargoyle?
