[A Dizzy Classic from 1/29/2011]

I’m still working on my version of Knitin’ – the knitter’s blues song.

In the style of and with deepest respect to the master, Eric Clapton and Driftin':

Knitin’

Driftin' and driftin',
Just like a skein rollin' down a tree

I'm knitin' and knitin',
Droppin' stitches no matter what I see

And I ain't got nobody,
In this world to knit for me

If my stitch count
would work out for this row again

If my stitch count

I would feel much better, for sure,
at least I’d finish the sleeves

Perhaps someday: a dizzy sheep with a guitar, on stage, playing the Knittin' Blues, with thousands of screaming knitters in the audience?
