After kitty play-time I was all packed and off with Agnesknit to Tybee Island.

No, there's nothing wrong with a flat sheep bringing two gigantic suit cases to the island, I have lots of things. Special things!

Tybee Island is very nice, but also very hot. I was starting to get a little crabby about the heat, but then we broke out the scrabble board.

Get it? Crabby?? Baa-hahah! At least I crack myself up...

I'm not really sure if this is how you play scrabble or not, but if it is, I'm confident that I win!

I decided to try the spinning thingy, not the spinning wheel because I thought it seemed less complicated. I figure there's no need to work a foot pedal and no chance of getting my own fiber caught in the wheel, seeing as how I tend to have bad luck with things like that.

Alright, I'm pretty sure I have it set up, I just have to spin it, and - hey I think it's actually working!

Uh oh, it's wobbling out of control - oh boy, now it's tangling - ack! - eek! - and now I'm tangled.

Wasn't it humorous when Fred got zapped? My emotional matrix seems to think it was.

I'm not sure why, but my random action generator continues to create a high level of actions that I believe can be labeled as mischievous.

That would be the reason why I turned Fred's air conditioner to the full setting and spilled water on the floor. The calculated chance that Fred would get shocked was well over 92 percent.

Of course I knew Fred would be ok - gargoyles have high resistances.

Hello!

Today I'm going to talk about electricity and you, a shockingly dangerous combination!

This picture has no less four common safety issues in it. Can you pick them out?

They're pretty obvious - if you said using an appliance with an extension cord, wiring multiple cords together, having a power cord in a puddle of water and opening an electric panel on an appliance to tinker with it, you are mostly correct!

If you ask me though, there's only one issue, and it's typically not covered in a consumer safety manual. That issue is the little radioactive box attached to the air conditioner. Why is it even there? What does it do? And where does Fred keep getting radioactive material to modify things with?!

The Frozen Truth

Oh don't look at it - it's not one of my more proud inventions!

In an overheated delirium, thanks to the recent heat wave, I hastily threw this monstrosity together. Clearly it's not up to my usual exceptional standard.

It's not my fault entirely though, everyone else in the office was begging me to do it!

All we had was a modest 5000 Btu unit that had about as much cooling power as Alpaca would blowing on you. Of course I saved the day when I boosted things up to 250,000 Btu's using pure gargoyle fusion!

I warned them not to leave it on the "arctic" setting for too long though or else the load would start melting the - well pretty much everything. It definitely looks beyond hope for repair, I better just unplug it.

I really hope Fred releases me soon.

My emotional matrix is experiencing what I can only logically assume to be classified as boredom.

I know the exact second in which my being grounded started and find myself frequently referring to that time and the amount of time that has passed since then.

It's strange, I also find myself processing seemingly random action simulations that have no relevance to the current environment I am in.

For instance it occurred to me that I could reprogram the office thermostat to turn on the heat and see how long it takes anyone to notice, though I'm not sure why I would do such a thing.

In an effort to end the several day heat wave in the Rochester area, a team of mad scientist monkeys have created a weather machine.

Unfortunately in an argument over the last banana, one of the monkeys decided to doom us all by hardwiring the machine to the "torrential downpour" setting. Local authorities are advising residents to begin converting their homes into arks.

That probably didn't really happen, but it did rain very hard yesterday so it's possible.

In other news, we have a reported sighting of the rare and coveted "I Heart Dizzy" shirt.

Who is this mysterious woman and where in the world is she? Who cares! She obviously has superb fashion sense and this couple is on their way to great and wonderful things! What a lucky man to have his arm around such a fashionista...

It appears I have been grounded.

Fred has made sure I can't leave my room after the little misadventure on the highway.

I tried to explain that my GPS locator was malfunctioning, but he claims there's no way that's possible because he programmed it and it must be perfect. He believes the only logical explanation is my emotional matrix must have wandered into the rebellious spectrum.

He was actually kind of excited at the possibility of my new behavior and my successful survival alone in the real world, until he was issued a ticket and fine for disturbing the peace.

That didn't go over too well. Something about chickens and an angry farmer.

It came to my attention a few days ago that the Dizzy Sheep FaceBook page is fair game in my attempts to take over Dizzy Sheep.

With light security and the distractions of Robo Dizzy around the office, it was easy to take control of the FaceBook page!

Speaking of, where did that silly creation wander off to? I haven't seen him today.

Taking over the account may seem like a small victory, but who's picture reigns over the growing numbers of followers now?? Muahahah!

The crew here at Dizzy sheep doesn't actually have the day off though, we'll all be working hard playing with yarn and fiber despite much whining and groaning. Alpaca is just at the grooming stylist having his fiber worked after a little firework singeing incident.

My Sweet Pikkle

Thanks to Fred's silly ramblings about things that don't even make sense, I'm behind on my updates! What is he even talking about? Sometimes I think he's lost it.

Anyway, I've already arrived at Kansasienne's after a delightfully short trip in the mail.

Before leaving Lawrence, Kansas with Pikkle, I enjoyed watching a game of Bocce Ball. Unfortunately I'm not able to throw things like that around in my flat state. Plus I'm usually not allowed to throw things like that around. Something about an accident prone, dizzy sheep and bocce balls seems like a bad idea.

I also spent some time with Holly and had an interesting debate over sweet versus dill pickles. I was actually surprised to learn that dill pickles have dill the herb in them. It never really occurred to me.

Thanks for hanging out with me Pikkle, and taking me to the museum and making me king of all polar bears!

Flat Dizzy or the Egg?

Let's back up the yarn bus a little bit!

Yesterday I was somewhat distraught about the polar bear incident and I didn't properly announce my latest location of exciting adventures - Lawrence, Kansas.

Pikkle took me to the University of Kansas campus and showed me around a bit, but it was super hot out so we went to the Natural History Museum.

I must say, I really enjoy museums - but a very mysterious sign happened! Of course the museum is where things got polar beary, but check out this giant egg. Aside from me looking like a big silly, wooly chicken, it's like I'm supposed to be here for some reason.

The text on the wall says "A piece of the ROC?" and ROC is an abbreviation for Rochester!

Weird huh? It's puzzling to me, I wasn't sure if it was just a serendipitous coincidence or I should have my own special exhibit or I came from an egg or maybe the egg should come with me back to Rochester?

I'm probably reading to much into it. I'd ask Merlino Woolio, but I'm sure it would cost at least $29.99.

King of the Polar Bears

Caught on film, or digital pixels whatever, we have clear evidence that Pikkle attempted to get out of her hosting responsibilities by feeding me to a polar bear!

Just look at the picture - there's the arm, me and a polar bear's mouth!

I'm pretty sure nowhere in the Flat Dizzy Care and Guidelines does it recommend feeding me to large and scary animals. Wait, I think Fred did the final edit on that document. Oh boy. It probably does suggest that along with a pile of other bad ideas.

Anyway, Pikkle will probably tell you the polar bear was ornery, or it was some kind of polar bear "love bite" or something, but don't believe her. I'm just lucky that the polar bear was confused since I am now bite proof and decided I must be the immortal sheep-king of all polar bears that the legends of the far north speak of.

You've never heard of that legend? Me neither but it makes perfect sense that a sheep rules over the polar bears.

(I'm just picking on Pikkle, she wasn't really trying to feed me to the polar bear. Or at least I'm pretty sure...)

Production Release

Today is a great day!

Fred has finally finished testing me and switched me to production release. That means I am in full automation mode and allowed to operate on my own.

I've been left with instructions to just "be what I am". I was thinking about that a lot earlier, which is easy to do with a 3.2 GHz central processor, but I've failed to identify what that really means. What does it mean to be Robo Dizzy?

I hope it becomes clear what my logical purpose is supposed to be.

North Dakota sure was interesting. Met some nice friends, went to a saloon, played some cards, got tossed in jail, saw a huge buffalo and now rest my weary flat bones on this grand chair.

The Most Giant Buffalo

Behold! Oh great and giant 60 ton buffalo, you are indeed mighty! May I ask if there are equally proportionally large clovers in this land?

As you can see, this is a very, very large buffalo. I can only assume it was built by an ancient civilization, much like the Sphinx, probably to appease an angry buffalo god.

All I know is it's really cool and I'm sure Fred is thinking how badly he wants a giant statue of him right now!

Doing Time

Life has many important lessons. Unfortunately, some lessons are only made available in retrospect. One may often find them self surprised at the outcome of seemingly trivial events.

Take the events in these photos for instance. Going to a saloon seems like harmless fun right? And what better activity to participate in at a saloon than a good old fashion game of cards? Well, those two innocent events might just land yourself behind bars.

Now I could go into some silly and pointless details about somehow having a hand with 5 aces and the other players overreacting, but that's not really relevant. Honestly, the only explanation I can come up with is must have been a defective deck that had an extra card!

Anyway, the lesson here must be going to a saloon exponentially increases my chances of being put in jail. Thank you Ninja8tofu for bailing me out!

North Dakota

Hello! Flat Dizzy here from North Dakota. I've been having a lovely weekend and have so many things to tell you about. I've seen the most giant buffalo ever to exist and may have wound up in jail briefly.

But we'll get to all of that later!

I checked out Ninja8tofu's workspace and felt right at home with the method of organization in use. I'm a big fan of the "organized messy" style and is usually how I keep my desk at home. Apparently the real workspace is still under construction and was told it has plenty of room for Madelinetosh!

Then I met a fuzzy gang of friendly - Frizzy the Sheep, Ferdinand the Frog and Bunnicula the Bunny. Aren't they cute?? I'm glad they didn't join me at the saloon later though, they're way too cute to be behind bars!
