A Start to My New Year Resolutions

Fred is trying to be helpful with my New Year resolutions
Fred is trying to be helpful with my New Year resolutions

Well it seems that Fred has started my list of New Year resolutions.

Let's see...

Be nice to Fred - that really should "be nicer to Fred".  I mean I like Fred and I think that I'm pretty nice to him usually - all things considered - but he is a good friend, more like family even, and we should treat our family and friends well - yes, I will make an effort to be nicer to Fred in 2011.

Eat fewer clover cookies - I think perhaps Fred is trying to tell me that I'm getting a little extra "wooly" - let's see, if eliminate just 3 clover cookies - 160 Calories per day, I could lose 16 -18 pounds in 2011.  Sounds good to me!

Well I have a start to my New Year resolutions - any other ideas?

Thinking About My New Year Resolutions

What should I write down?
What should I write down?

Marshmallow convinced me that I should start working on my New Year resolutions.

Being the sheep that I am, I don’t think I need to make any personal changes.

Stop snickering Fred!  What do you mean that there’s not enough paper to list them all?

Anyway, I do think that a dizzy business type sheep might want to consider something for a new year.

What should be my list for 2011?

Hmmm... I could use some help on this.

If you want to contribute either a personal or business resolution for me, please send email to Dizzy@DizzySheep.com, make an entry in the Blaag or use the Contact page.

Fred already has one for me: always bring lunch. Always bring lunch? Why Fred? So they can mysteriously disappear when you are around?

Smooshy or Snow?

Dreaming of Smooshy - not shoveling snow!
Dreaming of Smooshy - not shoveling snow!

It was a dark and stormy night ...

I was supposed to go out and shovel snow. I even have my nice red wool cap that Bizzy made me.

But I stopped on this soft and comfortable skein of Dream in Color Smoosy and it appears that I fell asleep - I mean I am still a bit tired from all the holiday tasks and cheer!

So here I am, asleep and having dreams of this wonderful yarn interrupted by nightmares of shoveling snow.

Hmmm… but wait, if I'm sleeping, how is this story getting typed? I must be sheep sleep typing!

Driftin'

I'm driftin' and driftin'...
I'm driftin' and driftin'...

I wonder if Eric Clapton would record a knitter's version of Drifin':

Driftin' and driftin',
Just like a skein rollin' down a tree

I'm knitin' and knitin',
Droppin' stitches no matter what I see

And I ain't got nobody,
In this world to knit for me

Or picture this: a dizzy sheep with a guitar, on stage, with thousands of fans, playing the Knittin' Blues?

I probably should keep my day job - what do you think?

Fred, stop laughing!!

A packing we will go...

Checking my list to see what's left to ship...
Checking my list to see what's left to ship...

We hope everyone enjoyed the 12 Dizzy Days!

The Dizzy crew is busy packing all the orders . You must have made some fine purchases – I keep hearing comments like “ooo what a beautiful color!”

I’m busying checking off all the items. They won’t let me pack this time. Something about not being fast enough –the goal is 90 units an hour. I can’t help it if I’m all hooves!

But I do have this song going through my head:

A packing we will go, a packing we will go,
Heigh-ho the dairy-o, a packing we will go.

The knitters want their yarn, the knitters want their yarn,
Heigh-ho the dairy-o, the knitters want their yarn.

The knitters want their needles, the knitters want their needles,
Heigh-ho the dairy-o, the knitters want their needles.

The knitters want their accessories, the knitters want their accessories,
Heigh-ho the dairy-o, the knitters want their accessories.

The packers want to be done, the packers want to be done,
Heigh-ho the dairy-o, the packers want to be done.

A packing we will go, a packing we will go,
Heigh-ho the dairy-o, a packing we will go.

Wrapped Up

I may look festive, but this is the official Santa Sheep Order Packaging uniform...

Hello there! I hope you've had and continue to have lovely holidays with delicious food, good times and plenty of fuzzy yarn!

I'd say things have calmed down and are back to normal around here after the grand twelve days event, but let's be honest - the yarn storage room looks like a couple of football teams were thrown in for a few plays, then an earthquake hit to knock any remaining shelves over.

Don't worry though, Santa Sheep will sort everything out as quickly as possible!

Happy Holidays!

Where you a good little knitter this year?

Did Santa Sheep visit you and leave you woolly presents?  Or did he just eat all your cookies?

Twas the Night Before...

All wrapped up - we hope you enjoyed the 12 Dizzy Days!
All wrapped up - we hope you enjoyed the 12 Dizzy Days!

Twas the night before Christmas and placed in your living room,

A pile of cookies with milk left for you know whom...

The scene was picture perfect and ready for Saint Nick,

Until Santa Sheep arrived to play a wee trick.

For cookies are Santa Sheep's secret delight,

and it is well known they are left out on this night.

With great masterful stealth and tip toeing grace,

Santa Sheep moved quietly towards the cookies' resting place.

At least that is what Santa Sheep had envisioned and planned,

But we all know that this sheep is balance challenged.

So if later tonight you awake from a crash and a clank,

As your living room lamp falls against your fish tank,

It isn't Saint Nick, but a mischievous cookie crazed sheep,

Who loves entertaining you all when you should be asleep!

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas

If you're happy and you know it, sock your feet! Wait, wrong song...
If you're happy and you know it, sock your feet! Wait, wrong song...

On the twelfth day of Christmas Santa Sheep offered me...

A wee bit of lace,

Soft single plies,
